Fabian Hurzeler’s growing influence at Brighton has been rewarded with a fresh long-term contract, with chairman Tony Bloom praising the German coach for shaping a clear identity and driving the club forward.

The 32-year-old has committed his future to the Seagulls until the summer of 2029 after overseeing another impressive Premier League campaign on the south coast.

Brighton sit eighth in the table with three matches remaining and remain firmly in the hunt for a strong finish ahead of Saturday’s home clash with already-relegated Wolves at the Amex Stadium.

Bloom Praises Brighton Progress Under Hurzeler

Bloom believes Hurzeler has strengthened the foundations already in place at the club while continuing to develop a distinctive style on the pitch.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Bloom said:

“Since his appointment, Fabian has continued the progress the club has made in recent seasons with consistent on-pitch performances, and he has developed a clear playing identity. This season, he has built on the foundations laid during his first season in which he led us to an impressive eighth-place finish.

“During his time as head coach the team has shown resilience, intensity and control. With three games to play we are pushing for a strong finish. Fabian’s principles and approach align with our values as a club, and we’re delighted to have agreed this new extended contract. It reflects our commitment to a shared long-term vision.”

Fans Won Over After Difficult Mid-Season Spell

Hurzeler endured difficult spells during the middle part of the season but has emerged from that testing period with growing backing from supporters, helped by Brighton’s return to form in recent weeks.

The club remain in contention for another strong Premier League finish as optimism builds around the squad heading into the final matches of the campaign.
