Ferdi Kadıoğlu Opens Up on Emotional Fenerbahçe Exit
Speaking to the KAFA Sports YouTube channel, the Turkey international admitted leaving Fenerbahçe was one of the toughest decisions of his career.
“Leaving Fenerbahçe was very difficult for me. It wasn’t easy at all. We had many meetings with Fenerbahçe. I really love the club and I love the city. I think everyone saw the interview I gave when I left. It was very emotional.”

“Fenerbahçe is always in my heart. Who knows, maybe I’ll come back one day. I can’t promise that, but it would be nice if it happened.”

Brighton Unlikely to Consider Ferdi Kadıoğlu Sale
Despite the defender’s emotional attachment to his former side, Brighton remain firmly in control of the situation.
Kadıoğlu has enjoyed an outstanding campaign on the south coast and quickly established himself as a key figure under Fabian Hurzeler.
The 26-year-old has featured in 91 per cent of Brighton’s Premier League minutes this season and started almost every league match when fit, underlining his importance to the squad.
His current deal runs until 2028 and also includes the option for an additional year, leaving Brighton under little pressure to entertain transfer interest.

Ferdi Kadıoğlu Continues to Shine for Brighton
Brighton’s decision to invest heavily in Kadıoğlu already appears fully justified after an impressive first full season in English football.
Comfortable at left-back, right-back or in midfield, the Turkish international has brought energy, composure and attacking quality to Hurzeler’s side.
While Kadıoğlu may still dream of returning to Fenerbahçe one day, Brighton supporters will hope that moment remains a long way off.
