Brighton 0-0 Leeds United – Premier League (27 November 2021)

Brighton were left frustrated after dominating much of the contest at the Amex Stadium but failing to find a breakthrough against Leeds.

Graham Potter’s side registered 20 shots to Leeds’ 11 and produced an expected goals tally of 2.59, but wasteful finishing proved costly. Neal Maupay and Jakub Moder both passed up strong opportunities, while Brighton recorded 38 touches inside the Leeds penalty area.

Leeds offered little in attack and ultimately viewed the draw as a valuable point in their battle to avoid relegation.

Brighton looked set for all three points at Elland Road until a stoppage-time equaliser denied them late on. Danny Welbeck gave Albion the lead with a composed chipped finish in the first half, and the visitors again controlled the game with an xG of 2.3.

However, Pascal Struijk headed home in the 92nd minute to rescue a point for Leeds, a result that helped lift them out of the relegation zone heading into the final week of the season.

Brighton continued their excellent start to the 2022/23 campaign with a narrow win at the Amex. Pascal Gross scored the only goal in the 66th minute, finishing off a slick team move to send Albion up to second in the Premier League table.

Leeds enjoyed more possession than expected but managed just two shots on target from 10 attempts, with Brighton looking the more threatening side throughout.

A chaotic encounter at Elland Road saw points shared after four goals and several momentum swings.

Alexis Mac Allister opened the scoring for Brighton in the 33rd minute, before Patrick Bamford levelled seven minutes later. Solly March restored Brighton’s advantage in the second half, but Jack Harrison struck in the 78th minute to make it 2-2.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side controlled possession with 62 per cent and had 38 touches in the Leeds box, but could not convert that dominance into victory.

Brighton 3-0 Leeds United – Premier League (9 November 2025)

The most recent meeting was Brighton’s most convincing, as Hurzeler’s side swept Leeds aside at the Amex. Welbeck opened the scoring inside 11 minutes after good work from Mats Wieffer down the right. The hosts then pulled away after the break, with Diego Gomez scoring twice in six minutes.

Brighton created 14 shots and an xG of 2.99, while Leeds managed just five attempts and rarely threatened. The win lifted Albion into eighth at the time, while Leeds slipped to 16th.
