Fabian Hürzeler has sent Brighton fans a personal message after committing his long-term future to the club.
Brighton are heading into the final stretch of their Premier League campaign with plenty still to play for. The Seagulls continue to remain strong contenders for a European spot next season.
Fabian Hurzeler has had difficult moments at the South Coast. However, the German manager remains keen on building around a young and ambitious squad.
Needless to say, his first two seasons have been full of highs and lows following the departure of Roberto De Zerbi.
Now, with Brighton still pushing at the end of the season, the club have made a major decision regarding Hurzeler.
Fabian Hürzeler Signs New Brighton Contract
Brighton have officially confirmed that Hurzeler has signed a new three-year contract with the club. The German coach is now tied down until June 2029.
This gives Albion long-term security around one of the most important figures in their project. The gaffer’s previous deal had been due in June 2027.
Likewise, Brighton moved early to remove an uncertainty around his future. Sky Sports had reported that Bayer Leverkusen were interested in Hurzeler.
However, the Seagulls moved first as they wanted to make a statement and avoid any more speculation around their gaffer.

Hürzeler Sends ‘Proud’ Message To Brighton Fans
Hurzeler sent a personal message to the club’s supporters. He also highlighted the role supporters have played during difficult spells.
The head coach’s words focus on the connection between the team and the fans. The German didn’t pretend everything to be perfect and acknowledged the part the fans have played during his tenure.
“Dear Albion fans, we went through a lot of highs, a lot of lows, moments that tested us and moments that always reminded us why we love this game. For every challenge, for every setback, for every small victory, one thing never changed, and that’s your support,” Hurzeler said.
Brighton chairman Tony Bloom also made it clear that the new deal reflects the club’s confidence in Hurzeler. The English entrepreneur praised the head coach for continuing Albion’s development.
He also pointed out the team’s resilience, intensity and control under the German gaffer. With stability now secured, Hurzeler can look into the long-term workings at the Amex.
Brighton Contract Extension Shows Long-Term Belief
This is a major moment for Brighton, especially due to Bayer Leverkusen’s growing interest in signing Hurzeler.
However, the club continues to believe in the manager’s work and trusts the coach with the long-term project.
Over the 85 matches that Hurzeler has managed, he’s won 37. Roberto De Zerbi, on the other hand, won 38 out of 89 matches managed.
Hurzeler already has a higher win percentage (44%) than De Zerbi (43%) in almost the same number of games.
Naturally, he averages more points (1.6) than his Italian predecessor (1.5). Likewise, these numbers don’t diminish De Zerbi’s legacy at Brighton, but they underline why the club continues to believe in Hurzeler.
