Brighton & Hove Albion have transformed from relegation candidates into one of the Premier League’s smartest and most progressive clubs. Since promotion in 2017, Albion have developed elite talents, qualified for Europe, and built an identity admired across English football.

Selecting an all-time Premier League XI is no easy task, but this side combines the club’s greatest leaders, technicians, creators, and game changers from the modern era.

Goalkeeper: Bart Verbruggen

Verbruggen has quickly developed into one of the Premier League’s most exciting young goalkeepers. Calm in possession, dominant aerially, and excellent with his distribution, the Dutch international embodies Brighton’s modern style under Fabian Hurzeler.

Right-back: Ferdi Kadioglu

Although injuries disrupted parts of his first season, Kadioglu’s technical quality and versatility immediately stood out. Comfortable in midfield or defence, his intelligence and progressive play make him a perfect fit for Brighton’s system.

Centre-back: Lewis Dunk

No player represents modern Brighton more than Dunk. The club captain led Albion through promotion, survival battles, European qualification, and multiple tactical evolutions. His leadership and consistency cement his place instantly.

Centre-back: Jan Paul van Hecke

Van Hecke developed into one of Brighton’s most reliable defenders during the club’s rise into European contention. Aggressive defensively but composed in possession, he became a cornerstone of Albion’s back line.

Left-back: Pervis Estupinan

Estupinan brought pace, intensity, and attacking quality down the left side. His overlaps and ball progression were crucial during Brighton’s Europa League qualification season under Roberto De Zerbi.

Midfield: Moises Caicedo

Caicedo’s rise at Brighton was extraordinary. Signed as a teenager before becoming one of the league’s best midfielders, his ball-winning ability, athleticism, and composure made him central to Brighton’s success.

Midfield: Pascal Gross

Gross remains one of the most important signings in Brighton’s history. Creative, intelligent, and endlessly versatile, he delivered goals, assists, leadership, and consistency across multiple Premier League campaigns.

Midfield: Alexis Mac Allister

Mac Allister evolved from a promising playmaker into a World Cup-winning midfielder during his time at Brighton. His technical quality, composure, and ability to dictate matches elevated Albion to another level.

Left wing: Kaoru Mitoma

Few players have electrified the Amex like Mitoma. His dribbling ability and unpredictability made him one of the Premier League’s most entertaining wingers and a nightmare for defenders in one-v-one situations.

Striker: Joao Pedro

Pedro added flair, creativity, and goals to Brighton’s attack. Whether dropping deep or attacking the box, his technical quality and versatility gave Albion a genuine match-winner in the final third.

Right wing: Leandro Trossard

Trossard produced countless big moments during his Brighton career. Capable of scoring spectacular goals or creating chances out of nothing, the Belgian was one of the club’s first genuine Premier League stars.
